Braid

I was always jealous of how soft and silky Ryuuji's hair was. Even though it was long, it never tangled up. I could tell he hated it when I would spend a lot of time running my fingers through his hair, but he never really said much since he would get back at me in other ways. Unfortunately for him, I happened to wake up before him one day and decided to braid his hair instead of getting out of bed. I managed to section off his whole head with loose braids by the time he stirred awake.

"Mmmmm... What're you doing...?" he grumbled as he opened his left eye slightly to glare at me.

"Good morning, sleepyhead," I smiled.

"Ugh, God, my head is killing me..." he continued to complain as he sat up. His hand touched his hair, which was when his annoyance at me increased exponentially. "Why, ?"

"I wanted to see what you'd look like with a bunch of braids in your hair," I explained. "Not sure it suits you, Ryuuji."

"Why do you always have to play with my hair..." he muttered and cursed under his breath as he started to pull the hair elastics out, one by one. "How many did you put in here?"

"Aw, you're no fun," I joked as I helped him undo all the work I did. "Actually, I think this wavier hair looks nice on you, but it probably won't hold its shape because of how fine your hair is."

"No, thanks," he shot down. "The less complicated my hair is, the better."

"Why not go bald, then? Less maintenance."

"You know what I mean, ," was his sharp rebuttal.

We managed to undo every single braid, but Ryuuji stopped me from undoing the last one that lined the left side of his face.

"I'll keep this one in," he coughed. I could see his cheeks begin to flush a slight pink.

I gave him a playful kiss on the lips. "You're so sweet, Ryuuji."

"Don't push it," he warned me before he got out of bed and began to fuss with the rest of his hair in front of the mirror.
